माँ तेरी याद को मैं क्या समझूँ

सुबह की वो पहली धूप

या शाम की वो चंचल हवा

या रात की वो चंदा मामा की कहानियाँ और किस्सों की टोली

या तेरा आँचल में बैठा वो वक्त

वो बचपन की सुख भरी लोरी

कभी तेरा जाना दिल से सोचा तो ना था

तेरी अहमियत का ख्याल हमें तेरा जाने के बाद

तस्वीरों से लगा

एक काश...

दिल की राहों में दौड़ता है

और एक ख्वाहिश के

तू अगर होती

तो ये होता...

तू अगर होती तो वो करता

वक्त का भी ये कैसा बेरहम उसूल है

जिसने कदर की वो जान पाया

और जिसने नहीं की

वो मन ही मन पछताया

पर अगर ये आलम है तो क्यों है

क्यों अपनों की कीमत हम उनका

तस्वीर में जाने के बाद समझते हैं

हम क्यों उनका शोक करता है ये मन

क्या यही है वो यादों की रौनक
